Lol, thats what dad always said... if it comes apart, it can be fixed.
When i first built my '57, i was gonna leave the 3 on the tree and overdrive in it. Never had time to get to why the overdrive wasn't working, that may have been the problem with that solinod. One day when i made a left turn to the post office the steering wheel screwed out of gearbox vs tires turning🤯  so all right turns back to the shop. Decided to put in a 605 power steering gear and might as well put in my M22 4-speed while i was at it.

Sometimes these cars seem to have their own plans for what they want to be.

The probability of life originating from accident is comparable to the probability of the unabridged dictionary resulting from an explosion in a printing shop.  Edwin Conklin

Sixball they sure seem to.🙂

Hey hey, i just might be usefull again. Brother is flying in Oct first to get the '58 Vette up and going to load on shipper.  Hope i can give a hand.  I've got a lot of parts for him to gether up that i had bought amd never got around to thru the years. I think i know where they are mostly.

My buddy Shane called,  he was giving his 67 Mustang coupe son that he owned it since he was 14. I converted it to a fast back via a doner ... gezz, 9 years ago for him. His son back then was broke, (probably in jr high yet) and wasn't really thrilled. He was into the newer Mustangs. Well now he has a good job and money saved and likes the idea now. The qtrs were rusty on the bottom when i did it, had full intentions of new full qtrs when he was ready.

The amount body shops charge these days is rediculous to install. So because i'm not phyisicly able sure don't stop me from telling him each step. Full qtrs at factory seams are easy and much quicker and better that patch/parcial pannels, (in my opinion😁)

Nice!!!...a lot of folks have that fast back conversion on their bucker list but never do it.  I'm not a Mustang guy but would love to do that conversion and install a SBC ;D

Lol, me to Ed. Was thinking about that a few weeks ago. Id have to find a "69 fastback. I don't have any Ford motors any more but still have SBC's and two 440 mopars left. Can't imagine them fitting in there very easy though if at all.😁
When Shane said his future plans 9 years ago, i told him i"d do it if he hurried up because i was loosing my ability. Good thing he jumped on it before it was too late.

Very cool Project. I've always dreamed of a fast back Mustang.
