My wife inherited a small pickup truck recently.  It was her grandpa's since new, he passed years ago .  Her grandma was diagnosed with dementia recently.  We picked it up last night. Been sitting a year and had new tires,  clutch, battery.
It took awhile to get started,  battery didn't want to take a charge on high.  Needed some gas,  poured some down the throttle body and slowly fired up. Didn't want to rev but when I made it to the highway it ran much better. Drove 40 miles home.  It's a 88 Mazda b2200.  Bench seat needs some repair but it's in great condition for the year and 123,000 miles.  Don't really need another vehicle but she wants to take it to a cruise night now and then.  So I'll support that.
Mini trucks are making a comeback. She hasn't been in it since she was 5yrs old.

Those were good little trucks. I hope she enjoys it.

Sorta' car related. I hauled my tractor over the mountain to my son's house in south Reno near the Davis fire that has been burning fir days now. Wind is the issue now and spreading from airborne embers. The spray rig and front bucket could help control fire from falling enters, If the neighborhood catches fire nothing will help.

So Leroy & I loaded it on my trailer with no lights or brakes, fenders falling off and I forgot to put the new license tag on it. Made it without seeing any cops. I'll fix some of that before I bring it home.

Nice little truck for the wife and keeping it in the family!
Hope your son doesn't have any problems with the fire Sixball!
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

They are getting a handle in the fire. The big wind fear didn't happen. Probably wasted the trip unless my son works on the trailer & fixes a hydraulic leak in the tractor.  ::)

She saw my extra glass pack laying on the shop floor and asked if I'd make it louder.  I said let's look at the muffler,  if it's rotting out I will but for now enjoy the quiet. 😉
She was like wth, nothing you have is quiet.
