I spent the day helping a buddy put inner and outer rockers in a 65 Chevy short bed truck, If anyone is interested in a 33 Plymouth 4dr sedan, I seen probably the best body on a car of that age ever. It is a complete car with no rust, rot at all, bottom of the doors are as solid as the day it was built.
if interested let me know and Ill get you the owners name and number,

I've been working in the shop while trying to find all the roadster parts to haul to the new construction site. I thought moving the roadster project would aid in cleaning up the shop. Instead it is a bigger mess than before. It seems that over the years spent collecting and making parts a lot has been buried and stashed in, under, and behind every other thing in there. The good part is that the entire mess will be completely reorganized and a lot of junk will be gone. It didn't seem like junk when I hauled it up here.  ;D

Wrapped this up today.
As soon as I warm up I'll probably start the rear wiring on the jeep.

I'm trying to clear enough snow off of 2miles of road so I can keep hauling parts to and from the new roadster location in my old '53.

I am thinking about buying a 77 chevy short bed, step side. It's under construction with a ton of new parts. Bed wood, stainless strips, new front clip, the cab has been restored, new glass. $ 2000.00 I am thinking to  just resell it, and hopefully make a buck.
The engine is a good running 400 chevy with a turbo 350 that need to be resealed.
 any opinions for me
Thanks John

I've been looking at trucks here lately. Thinking of buying one myself. What I see is the fleet side is more desirable but the price sounds right

Put many a mile on those square body pickups. A clean one sells pretty darn quick too, at least around here.  I always prefered the fleetside in that body style myself, but nothing wrong with the stepsides.  Man those mid 70's 400s were very torquey motors. I pulled a 350 out of a 74 Vette I had and put in a 400. Damn that woke that Vette up, tire burning sucker!  ;D  My buddy Tom just swapped a 95 454 for a mid 70s 400 to put in his '58 Chevy Viking truck, ought to gove him a bit more lugging power than the old 327.

Before I had my new tires put on, I painted the wheels black.
The glossy olive drab wasn't holding up .

Just for kicks I put the center caps on.
With the green it was ugly, so I left em off but.......
With the black they look pretty decent.

IDK , what do yall think ?

BTW, these tires are bad a$$. Made the bfg's look like car tires.

Rattic  My S10 4cyl pickup motor finally died at 200K so I sold it to a young guy that will be using the frame under a 54 Chevy Belair. Until I locate another 4cyl/manual truck I put our field use 95 Jeep Wrangler on the road. Your tire picture reminded me that this Jeep has 33's and is lifted. All I can say is it's scary above 50 MPH can't wait until I get another truck :D

I think any older model short beds are desirable these days and seem to sell quick. And, personally, I prefer the looks of the step side. Parts are more readily available now than ever, too. Without seeing it I think it's a good move.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn
