It's probably from someone who parked there before you.

I'm still finding parts for my roadster to haul to the new build site. Found the flywheel, lots of bolts, clutch fork. I decided to order a new valve cover that Tom Lowe makes because the ones I planed to modify are just too much work right now, maybe later. Tom's will bolt on, clear the roller rockers, and match the side cover I got from him. No Mercruiser stuff. I'm getting ready to modify and assemble the BW T-86 three speed overdrive transmission. It will have the floor shift top plat from a BW T-90 jeep trans. Next will be the header mods. We need the engine/trans together so we can see how it will relate to chassis and firewall.

Rattiac, was your leak something simple?

Sixball, glad your getting it all dug up. If I ever get back on my coupe...gonna have a hell of a time finding everything again.

Well I haven't done much car wise. Finally got my house guest gone. Spent all last week cleaning up all the mess he created. >:(
My buddy Tom started tearing down the '58 Chevy LCF Viking parts truck. He got it down to the chassis lastnight. So he pushed it out to make room for the '95 Chevy 3500HD teardown. He will be using the parts truck Viking chassis to fab/mock up the doaner 3500HD front and rear axel transplants.

He has used the crap out of his ugly Viking since he bought it, but needs upgrade on brakes and other loaded axel stuff like the 19.5" HD wheels. His original wheels are 20" and nobody will fix a flat or even change tires on those old widow maker 2-piece wheels.

Few pics, 1st is old homely "Homer". Truck that will get all the donated items later.
2nd is the parts truck tare down.

Im hoping it's a simple fix. Appears to be Trans fluid. Also have another small coolant leak.

Hopefully I'll get to work on the car in the next few weeks. Been dealing with the stupid idiots about my flooded basement (serv-pro). It's been a process just getting the tear out done.
Had to get LOUD with them about a section of wall that was wet. Claims adjuster said to have them rip it out and they argued with me till my woman came down and screamed tear the fu#*ing wall out.  >:(
They jumped on it so fast. It took only minutes.

Then they claimed the vinyl floor had asbestos. The bathroom was rebuilt in 2012.
According to their test, it was positive.
I was thinking BS , so I had a test done myself.
No asbestos.
2 weeks later they sent the abatement crew who also said NO asbestos here and pulled the floor out easily.

Now im approved for a heloc loan and I can get all new plumbing and a new roof here soon.
Fundage for the car is no more for this year.
 :(

Rattiac, Sevpro around here is the sameway! Do a good job at sucking up and drying out the place, but....then seems to come the BS.

My buddy Tom got the cab off the 3500HD this afternoon. Man...there is no built in front crumple zone on these dudes. That big "C" channel front crossmember looks stout.

This truck must have flew under the radar on inspections. No Cat conv, no E-brake cable (at all), many other things over looked. Might have been getting the "Good buddy" inspections!  ;D

The taller radiator support and lower grill spacer both unique to the 3500HD are something to put aside.

Picked up a 10lb spool of .035 for the lil Lincoln.
It's all tuned up and ready for work. 8)
Also grabbed some 6011 for the arc. All I had on hand was 7018.
Need to throw a few practice welds down.

Kinda quiet on here, how is everybody doing ?

It's going good on the east coast. Weather is starting to get cold. My son decided he wants to sell the Camaro that we (I) have been working on. I don't think he is quite the car guy I was hoping he was. Also getting ready for the next month, or so, big Christmas push.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

Yeah we wont go through all that work just to sew up a top.
It's a 18 mustake . Top alone is 5 grand and headliner is another thousand plus install.

After work I found out my taillights didn't work, brakes or park. Spent the weekend tearing out a tow bar wiring harness the P.O. had installed.
Taillights wiring now back to stock.
Had a add-a-fuse in the LR park light fuse, removed that  , correct fuse put back in.
Installed new brake light switch and still nothing.
Removed trailer T-harness, no improvements.

Got some more testing to do. Ahhhhhh wiring fun.
😠

OK. I think I have found the culprit. 2 fuses were replaced , one in the distribution box (NOT labeled) and the park fuse again.

Unplugged the rear hatch harness to the 3rd brake light, door lock, wiper, license plate light.
All that Damn wiring through this tiny little hole.
No wonder all the wires started breaking.

I swear I'd love to beat some of these engineers in the head with a stilson wrench and go all Joe Pesci on em.💀🛠🗜

So once I fix these wires, im gonna only route the 3rd brake light wires up through the hole and re-route the others. Shouldn't have any problems after that.

This ain't my month.  :-\

went out to garage this morning and started putting tools away from when I was working on shazzbott.  5 hours later a whole lot of stuff went back where it belongs.  Even found a few items I had been looking for.

At 2pm started feeling not well, wifie said have soup and a sandwich.  magic cure all and burst of energy, got in another 2 hours as sun started heading south for the day.  I prefer to work with garage doors open and furnace blowing hot air at me.
