I'll measure the actual rubber for you, but I know that the rear wheels are 15x8 and the fronts are 15x4.5. I was running 15x6 on the front with Goodrich G-Force Sport 195/50 and it really grabbed the road but was much harder to turn. Now with the 15x4.5 and the Continental 155/60 it feels like I have power steering. I am amazed how much difference the narrower tires made up front.

You must have been reading my mail...my next question was going to be whether or not you had power steering.  I'm going to run a manual R & P, so it's good to know about how hard it is to steer.

Just measure my tires - this is the actual diameter and width of the rubber, not the tread width - how far it is from the outside edge of one side of the bulge to the other.

Rear: 30 tall and 10.25 wide

Front 22 tall and 5.5 wide

If you're going to go much wider in the rear you'll probably need to tub the inside for clearance. I can barely get mine up inside the fenderwell and over the lugs.

Hope that helps!

Yes indeed, many thanks.

Once I get the rear end mounted, then I will find out how much - if any - I need to tub it.  First things first, I have to get the body off!

I'm having my chevy panels lettered next Wednesday - just met with the artist this morning to work out the design and colors (same that did the flames) and I'm really excited. Of course I'll post a photo when its done!

Going from 50 series tires aspect ratio to 60 series aspect ratio,  is a lot less rubber on the road in the front and should make it easier to steer as you have less scrub on the road.

I had same problem with 2003 S10 extreme had 235--x16x--50 series on the front and looked stupid with that low profile rubber band look and was harder to steer at low speeds.  upped the size to 235-x 16 x 65 series and that changed the whole look , no rubber bands, decent size sidewalls and improved ride quality, plus the tires filled the wheel wells and look they way it should have from the factory.

Oh love those 12 spoke ET3 on the front.  COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOl !

Thanks! Those are actually the Rocket Launcher wheels. Almost half the price of the ET and readily available too!

Just picked up my chevy from Paul Comeau Pinstriping & Lettering - he did an amazing job taking my ideas for the lettering to the next level. Super cool  :)

artwork is well executed.   Just the right size and not overpowering.

Thanks everyone. Just for fun here's the explanation: "Sailor Hardware" is not my business, its from a TV show I used to watch in the 80's called "Wiseguy". An undercover Fed named Vinnie Terranova had an "Uncle Mike" he could call anytime to get info or help, check in etc. Uncle Mike's character was a long haired vet in a wheel chair and lived in a loft 24/7. Whenever Vinnie or someone else called that number, he would get in his chair, roll over to the desk, start the reel to reel machines to record the call, put on his headset and then answer "Sailor Hardware, Mike Terranova". I've always liked the sound of that name "Sailor Hardware" and when I first started thinkin about lettering a few years ago that was the first thing that came to mind and it just stuck - I also like that it has absolutely nothing to do with anything  : ) Here's a couple photos of Uncle Mike from the TV show
