I've seen one like that at a car show.  Very cool!  Is that what you're thinking about?
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

PK what i did was STUPID and i was in a hurry and not thinking  DAH should have just walked away DAH I was checking on measuring the frame for a friend and i grabbed the hood and lifted it all of a sudden it folded and twisted the center rib all the hang.I sprayed it about twenty times and tried like old get up to streighten it but no chance the side ones are ok but the center one is toast .so here is what i have been thinking mock up a 100 percent stainless steel hinge down the center mark it with a scriber then cut the old hinge out and put the S.S. Hinge in maybe spot weld it in a new hood is 1,950 bucks not costing taxes or shipping.OH and i broke the distributor shaft  has anyone done that OK i didn't do it the previous owner did     vette59jdwl

After  about a month and having to  make modifications finally got the hood opening smoothly..now need to finish welding and dress up the welds and make it look a little better.

That's pretty slick Ed.  :) That would hurt my brain trying to figure out the mechanicals. ;)

Very cool Ed.  I guess you're not going to have the eagle on top of the grille shell.
