I'm here and keep checking in, but not to much to report. I did get all the 31 plymouth suspension parts painted along with the frame and today I spent a little time on my buick roadster. I got both doors operational and finished up the hinge on the trunk so it opens now. I like the idea of fall coming on because I get most of my work done when the shop is cooler. I don't mind winter though cuz I can put a little heat in the shop to get the chill off and get to work again. I have most of my weekends free for the hobby now so wish me luck...John

...So we can expect updates on the Buick in the next few months :)  Looking forward to it!

Yep. It's starting to look that way but I still have to devide my time with the 31 plymouth.

I'm here,  I'm checking in time to time to see if there is anything new.
Went to the Frog Follies this past weekend.  Had a great time.

I know these pictures don't do the valve covers justice, but they look awesome compared to the stamped steel Moroso covers I had.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

Chopper,
They do look awesome!  Nice work.  I picked up an old set of Mickey Thompson valve covers I want to clean up and put on mine.  Yours give me the incentive.

I just picked up a Richies finned gasser type scoop to replace the air cleaner. I am in the process of polishing it now. I'm not big on flashy stuff, but I figure since I'm not using a hood I have to make the engine look a little special, and I'm too poor to afford one of those blower thingies ;D

Chopper they look great. You can't beat a set of Corvette covers.

Hey Chopper
you going to paint the raised lettering and the valley of the fins of those valve covers?

The valley of the fins I painted black. The raised lettering is polished aluminum. It's hard to really see well because I used a phone camera and it's a cheepy.

Here's a couple better pictures of the little work that I have done. Polished the valve covers, with valve cover spacers, and I got a new air cleaner/scoop that I also polished and painted. It looks a little small to me, but I like it much better than the old round chrome cleaner. Painting them red would really stand out, 62131. Is the block painted red?

Great looking engine Chopper.  Nice job on the valve covers and the scoop really finishes it off.
