I have been trying to get a few thing done either with the house or in the shop. In the shop preferably. I have a customers 31 plymouth stripped doown to the frame up condition, and hopefuly I will get the frame and other parts painted today, but it's tough moving all the other cars out of the way. I do need a bigger work area! the buick roadster is burried in a corner and very hard to get to at the present so I will work on the cars that pay the bills....John

We've had some new members join. We haven't had a new addition to the gallery since May.  Anyone want to post some new old Chevys in the Gallery?  Would love to see some more cool Chevys!

Check out my link on the HAMB. A bunch of old Chevy's are going to be crushed.
If you live close enough come get some parts before they are gone for ever.
You don't see them but there are 3 1948 to 1954 Chevy pickups too. I know that
since I took those pictures that several more old cars have come in. Some one is cleaning out their grove.

Wally,
Definitely worth saving those cars. Wish I lived closer, I like those late 40s to early 50s Chevys.

I plan on replacing my problematis oil pan gasket tomorrow.  My 350 has the multi piece gasket and I can't get it not to leak.  I found out that they make a one piece now to replace the old, so I plan on giving it a try.

Anyone had any experience with these?

I got back from Minn recently and on the last day there  I got some kind of food poisening it put me down for a week, but I am back now and spent yesterday painting suspension parts for a 31 plymouth I am working on for a guy. It has warmed up here in ColoRodo so the paint cures real quick. I hope to get something done on the buick roadster in the future, maybe this winter will be good for projects in the shop. You guys stay safe and happy. And welcome to the new members....

Where did everybody go.The post count is dwindling down close to zero. Somebody must have something to talk about. How's the car doing, the wife and kids, the grand-kids, your shop, yard work....anything? I guess it must be the improving weather letting you buys finally get away from the infernal computer. Just wanna make sure everyone is OK!

Moose ;D

I hate to quote myself but once again I must ask the question......Is anybody out there?

Moose

my gal says i am not all there.
so i am here a little bit i guess....

I'm here, Moose, but not much to report. I have been spending time with my kids and now getting them ready for school. I did get an old set of Corvette script valve covers that I am replacing the chrome Moroso valve covers with. Someone had already sand blasted them and drilled holes in the covers for oil filler/breathers, and did a very good job. I'm in the process of sanding and polishing them now. I used a 1" valve cover adapter so there would be no chance of the rockers hitting the valve covers or breather cap. I have one side finished and it looks awesome. It's like night and day compared to the chrome Moroso covers. I will try to get some pics tomorrow.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

Yeah its been awhile since I had to do that but I can still remember how hectic it can get. Those valve covers sound like they're gonna look really nice...looking forward to seeing those pictures!
