Took the 33 out for it's first ride of the season :D  Past the state inspection so I'm good for 2 years now.

Rory, the roadster is looking great!

Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

Looks comfy I'm sure you will enjoy it
That really turned out nice! You did some great work there!!...and quick.
Now, for the outside.....fancy paintjob?? ::)

Nice job...I'm sure you will enjoy it very much...beats sleeping in a tent or on the ground...

Thanks guys for the comments.
Decided to hook up the brake controller before the first trip. Plans are made. Got crazy for a bit cause they issued refunds and then the restrictions were lifted a few days later.
No fancy paint job, going stealth mode. 😉
I cant believe I built this in just under 3 months.

Welcome to the site Roars Rods. My spot has always been by the door , so I can deal with critters/bears, ect and  get to the guns quicker.

Should be testing/adjusting trailer brakes tonight.

Looks great Rattiac!  When i towed my Jeep camer down to the lake with my old 47 Jeep, i had to use low gear down the steep gravel road. Camper had E-/park brake only no trailer brakes. Those brakes would barely hold just the Jeep. Anything else had pleanty of brakes to hold camper, it didn't weigh much.

Today, truck involved anyway😁  trimming out some very small limbs while cleaning up the crick banks. Trying to get my mower down the steep incline on the bank that i haven't mowed in years. Missed my mark, (tires sliding) bounced over the edge of the culvert and hit down hard blowing the right rear off the rim. 🤯  I was trying to get it turned to the right at the bottom to avoid the deep sand down there.

Scooted on across  but mower just shuddered when i noticed it was spinning the rim inside the tire😡  stuck it in low and started pushing as close to the top ridge as i could. Got the pick up backed in close enough to the edge to hook up a tow strap to get it back to the garage. The right rear is holding good air but now the left is going down. Think i stressed both in the bounce😁

Since before my friend died out at Bonneville in August  my car trailer has been occupied by his parts El Camino. That changed today. The guy across the street from Vic's house bought the Elky and I brought my trailer home. Tomorrow I'll be using it to help another friend move his '39 Chevy pickup to a different storage place, lost the spot because he lost his job due to the China Virus.  If the State Police show I may wind up in jail. Our Governor extended the stay at home order yesterday until May 15th. The last day to sign his recall petition is May 14th. With this guy I would not be surprised if everyone who signed after his original decree is charged for defying his order.

Sammons, We could do a whole tractor adventures thread here. I'm sure several of the others have experiences. I have a Ford that has been sitting for a few years with 3 wheels off of the road  on the hill above the house and no real idea of how to retrieve it. It is amazing how fast things happen on things that go so slow.  ;D

My friend Dale came by this afternoon and wanted me to go look at his new purchase pickup.  He bought a '33 Dodge from our buddy Shane, who had taken it in on a trade. So early this evening i went over to check out the rust that he wants me to fix. Not bad, the right side lower cowl is the worst. A little on each lower cab corner at the bottom lip, and cowl bottoms. The doors are actually good, just paint popped and suface rust.

When he gets the engine/trans (318/auto) set, he will pull cab and bring it over. I told him we will see, it all depends on when or if  my hands return. I do like the suicide doors on these, and he is using the nice '34-'35 Chevy grill shell he has. His '34-35 Chevy p.u. is just too bad shape to build. :(

up until the last 10 years we would never see the 1932--1934 plymouth dodges pickups built into street/hot rods.

They have some outstanding designs in rad shell and front fenders, very swoopy , much nicer and distinct than Chevrolet or fords of this era.  Theres a 37 Studebaker pickup appeared around here 8 years ago that makes a fantastic street/hotrod.

Mike you’re correct with those early Plymoths body style! I had as a kid built a 34 Plymoth 5 window coupe and factory cars of those Plymouth years already had the chopped roof looks with the shorter height windshield! RoarsRods

Let’s see today just replaced my HEI control module on my 33 Ford! This device kills me either it lasts for years on end or they end up failing! Not sure if it’s China crap making these parts! Oh yeah it was the Acell yellow control module that failed and was not even a year old! Just put in a MSD control module and will see how long this one will last! The other possibility of failure is that there is to much juice causing it to fail early! Will post a YouTube video of my 400 SBC motor all running great!  RoarsRods

That sure sounds healthy, RoarsRods.
I had a 1938 Plymouth pickup that I resto-modded and then sold about 25 years ago. I sure wish I had that truck now.
