Since selling the Buick I have been spending time on the 24 dodge pickup. I have gotten the frame boxed, all the suspension mocked up, and found a 5.7 hemi and 5 speed automatic from a 2006 dodge ram. I couldn't be happier with the way it fits the frame. This little truck should be a rocket f I can get traction. Have a look guys

Very interesting combination. It will be a rocket, Hang ON! Nice work.

That is a good looking drive-line ;), what's the plan for the harness and PCM?

i found a company on line called hot wire. They specialize in all makes and model harnesses. For about 1,400 dollars they will make a harness for the engine and trans complete with a 4 wire hookup, and reprogram my computer for a plug and play setup.

That looks great Ghost. Forget the wiring harness, you're gonna need a quality seatbelt harness!!
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

Reminds me of the Gas Monkey Garage episode when they put the HellCat engine in the 1967 Dodge Dart.  It all came down to syncing the PCM and BCM.

Here is the story..."Diablosport" is another outfit that might help with the harness/programming.

The BCM (body control module) in GM stuff controls stuff like interior functions - lights and the VATS (vehicle anti theft system) etc.  If the correct key is inserted in the ignition the BCM sends the OK signal to the PCM (powertrain control module) and allows the vehicle to deliver fuel or spark to run.  I believe in the Gas Monkey episode the BCM wasn't communicating with PCM..that's where the tuners come in.

oh I see. hot wire is going to reprogram the computer and take all the crap out of it so i shouldn't have to go throuh that. I won't have to have an original key to make it run.

Keep me posted I'd like to know if they can just program the PCM to eliminate the BCM in the MOPAR stuff.

I'll let ya know. I had to go get the throttle pedal out of the truck, it also goes with the computer operation.

That's one thing (drive by wire) that can be tuned out in the LS engine series to use the conventional accelerator cable drive.  You might want to verify that the BCM is/isn't also required just in case?
