1924 dodge roadster updates
« on: January 31, 2017, 05:54:29 PM »
I figured l would put this over here. I have been cutting the 28 chevy sedan body panels to start the build of the back of the roadster. I cut the quarters apart and reassembled them for the corners, and then cut the back panel down 5 inches since the chevy cowl is 6 inches wider. Clamped and tacked the three pieces and then check for fit to the front half. Ilike what I see so far. :D

That's looking great John. The panels are fitting together nicely.

Nice work. I really like the Dodge cowl and dash. You made the Chevy stuff look right at home.

Man I am hppy I went back to the swap meet today. I caught these guys leaving early that had this brand new model a bed, with a little bit of back and forth I was able to get it for the 24 dodge for $620,00..Ifigured I couldn't buy the brake and steel to make it for that amount. Iwill have to take the ford logo off.

Nice score! I think someone makes a no-name tailgate. You could easily sell the Ford one for enough to buy one. Are you going to leave it long? I really like the un-cut beds. Longer wheel base, more storage, room for a bigger cooler, and it won't look like a screwy Fad-T. You could call it a DORDROLET. :)

I think you should have Ghost on the tailgate.  Maybe Moose can Photoshop it ;D
