My wife is pretty good at the time I use for my projects, as long as I don't track any dirt or grease into the house were fine. Of course we have been playing this game for a long time.

We have a two stall garage and neither of our daily drivers park in there.  She has no problem with me going out in the garage because she can watch all the shows she has on the DVR.  We don't have the same taste in TV shows so it gives her an opportunity to watch what she wants.  I have a TV out in the garage so I can watch all my "car" programs while working on the 33.  Everyone is happy!
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

I've only been married to mine since 1969 so I don't have it all figured out yet, but sometimes I can make her think she's happy. One thing I learned not to do: If she is your first wife don't EVER let her hear you refer to her as your first wife. :o

1969?!? I was 11! I can't imagine anyone putting up with me for 44 years.
It's funny, though, that you say that. I sometimes introduce my wife as my first wife.......she doesn't see the humor.

Yep, 1969. We got in a car wreck on our honeymoon and totaled her Porsche in Montana. It was a '60 Convertible D. We were there from early August to December. She turned 21 in the hospital. I went deer hunting. For some reason she doesn't smile when I suggest a second honeymoon either. There's some stuff that is just not funny to women. :-\  A keeper? You betcha'! ;D

That's a story to share with the grandkids, if you have any. I'll bet you wish you salvaged that Porsche......did you get a deer?

Two deer and an antelope but I had no way to get the Porsche home. It would not have been totaled today. but it would have needed a complete front end. A coup;e of years later we got a '62 Super 90 Coupe. It's in the yard with the rest of the junk. ;D I tease her about making a Baja bug out of it. ::)

I believe I'd put that inside somewhere, it looks like a good start of a nice restoration project.

Sixball, you gotta get that baby inside. I think I saw an old "Chasing Classic Cars" where Wayne went to check out an old yellow Porche that an older friend of his had under a tarp. It was completely rusted out, what a shame.
Those heads are mounted in your den as a constant reminder, right?

Yes, it needs to be inside, It is totally complete and has only surface rust. It needs to be taken completely apart but everything is available except the 25-20 grand to do it. :(
I have never had a head mounted. I have a pretty big stack of antlers but I had no room to bring the Montana horns home. My wife was in a body cast from her chest all the way to the toes on her right leg and to her knee on the left leg with a a pipe across her knees. We rented a big Ford station wagon and slid her in the back like a big pizza. We spent one night on the road in Twin Falls, Idaho. You should have seen the look on the old motel guys face when I asked if he could help me carry my wife into the room.  :o The next night my brother helped me carry my bride over the threshold. ;D  She shattered her femur. Now days she'd be up and around in a week or so. She spent from August 5th till December 2nd in traction and until the end of February in that cast. Then a year in a leg brace. It still bothers her. The honeymoon was over early.

OK, so I started laughing at the "everything is available except the 25-20 grand to do it". When i got to the part about sliding her in the back of the wagon like a big pizza, I lost it What a way to spend a honeymoon. No wonder she doesn't want a second.
