Early Chevy/GM Discussion / Making steering drag link for the 28
« Last post by 28chevyguy on Today at 09:29:37 AM »
hey guys been a while but here I come crawling back !    So i need to make the steering drag bar ,  im running the 28 gear box and a early 50's truck front axle .

So should it be hollow or solid ?  I need to source the end pieces and get it figured out .   The axle is dropped so the bar will end up having an up curve .   One of those jobs that I ended up over thinking and here we are !!

I appreciate any help / expertise in the matter thanks !

I am also working on making new plastic lenses for the license light, on the 1936 tail light housings.  There seems to be a real shortage of 1936 parts.

I've driven some of that but need to do the old Lincoln Highway part. Is that the part that would come out between Ely & Wendover?
That if a huge spring! There are several springs on our property but just dribbles compared to that. Enough water so we have feral horses in the yard every day. There is no such thing as a "wild" horse. Since they have been protected the deer population has almost disappeared and the horse numbers are MANY times more than is allowed by law but the horse huggers always win.

Seems funny that what is a big deal on the northern boarder wouldn't raise an eyebrow on the southern border. 27,000 military age Chinese men can enter California illegally and it doesn't even make the news. If the Dems win in November it is over. Who will even investigate the validity of the election?

Early Chevy/GM Discussion / Re: 1932 Pontiac Six build

I made another YouTube channel just for the 32.
Named it "32 Pontiac Six" to easily find.  Transfered the older videos to there and have a few new upcoming videos to release.

Always wanted to visit this place.  The last stop before crossing the massive Utah desert along the Lincoln Highway.  A bit of history.  Enjoy.

I'm hoping for you too!  ;D

My cause is mostly laziness. I just don't do as much as I should. Some is all the work it takes to live here eats a lot of time and things I built in my 20s are falling apart.  :o I'm still convinced if I can get the shop back in order I can finish the '26 roadster. I have 99% of the parts, maybe 110%.  ::) The '70 Blazer, '68 Flatbed, 1919, Essex speedster, '26 Chevy speedster, flathead powered Model A pickup, '59 Studebaker Lark road racer, the last round of the '53 pickup and a couple of motor cycles? Maybe not.  ;D If my body holds out another 10 years? My sons will never be able to put any of it together. It is like 90% of the pieces 10 jigsaw puzzles mixed up in one big box with a lot of pieces that don't fit any of them thrown in. It make me shudder and lay awake at night.  ;D But I'm OK!
