I was not a fan of small caliber rifles, nothing smaller than .30 until I traded for a custom #1 Ruger single shot in .219 Donaldson Wasp. It is a wildcat that I have form cases for from the 25-35 30-30 family. They are necked down, shoulder moved back and shortened. It can shoot the same bullets as a .223 about 200 fps faster. Its a lot of trouble but it fills the same niche as hot rods. It is fun to load for and shoot, very accurate and almost no recoil. Devastating on small game as faraway as I can see it. It would be good for coyotes, Or bad depending on your view.
Well that didn't last long. Went out and tested the breaker bar, wouldn't budge. Grabbed the torch and had enough gas to get it red, I let it sit for a minute. Tried again with the breaker bar and it slipped off. Smacking the top of my hand pretty good. Ran inside to wash it off and .... apparently passed out 😮. No, I just wanted to sleep it off.Ambulance showed up checked everything out. Luckily no broken bones , just embarrassed.Thinking hard about hiring a mechanic to do this.I hate to do this but it beats a hospital bill.
