Happy thanksgiving
« on: November 27, 2024, 09:48:41 AM »
Hope you guys get some quality time with your families and have safe trips.

With the lack of family around, i'll be having dinner with my friends and neighbor. I've lived on this property for 42 years now and my next door nieghbors have been here another 7yrs before me. Guess i'd call them family. 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!  It'll be a quiet one for me as the kids and grandkids are at their in-laws this year.  I'll be decorating for Christmas!

Family doesn't have to share the same DNA.

Christmas? I haven't even gotten any Thanksgiving decorations up yet and It is tomorrow. Just trying to get the house clean.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! My oldest son & grandson are bringing my tractor home in the morning, thankful for that! The grand son want to do some shooting. I want to spend time getting them more connected to this place. Their mom and my other son will be here later. My wife has been prepping for weeks. It will be a good day. My younger son will spend the night and next day. We'll probably  watch some Christmas movies. Looking forward to being all together. (with my tractor too!)  ;D

Happy Thanksgiving....been feeling really optimistic about our country's future.  Have my grandsons showing up for a couple days to do some deer hunting out back.  Got my Jeep project together, parked the ATV's and now enjoy being dry and having heat!

Waiting for the first arrivals. Beautiful bot cold day. House is smelling like good food. Had a bear on the porch last night. Guess he couldn't wait for leftovers!  ::)

Have a great Thanksgiving, so much to be thankful for!

Sixball.  That bear  just wanted to be 1st in line . 🐻
Probably the most thankful and the saddest Thanksgiving I've ever had.  Dad declined rapidly last night.  He was restless and wanted to sleep in his own bed.  We both walked to his bed but this morning
Me and the nurse had to move him.  He let out a scream as we got him into the wheelchair 😪.  Family came after dinner and said thier goodbye's.  Watching his 82 mom say that broke me. Hard day but im not leaving his side,  I can sleep some other day.  His poor body is running on fumes and he refuses to give up.  That's my dad one tough trucker.

Rattiac, Sorry for what is going on. It is tough at any time but especially hard during the Holidays. Be glad your dad raised the kind of son that can take on these kinds of tasks. God bless both of you. Don't let the timing put a cloud over this time of year forever..

It wont.  If anything it's made me more thankful for family and friends.  I talked to him this morning and said everything I wanted to tell him, even apologized for being a lil shi#! during my teenage years. It seemed like he was waiting for one more person.  His best friend since 5.  I called him and he couldn't make it up from Nevada in time so I put it on speaker and let him talk.  20 mins later, holding his hand at 2:30 he passed.  It was a quick decline but he had all his ducks in order and his job was complete. I'm glad I could help him when he really needed me.
