Great find and a cool thing to do with it. You are a good man to give your neighbor a piece of his history!

Update.
Sent my neighbor a pic of the emblem. The ground use to be his grandads. He says "Wow, my grandad use to sell Fint cars in the 20s".

Think i'll give it to him.

Just got back from giving the emblem to my Neighbor. He sais his great grandad owned our entire block and later sold this part to his grandad. That old pic with cars, his greatgrandad sold machinery, Franklin and Flint automobiles out of the brick front building behind cars. When the Hotel to the right of that burn't down shortly after picture and his great gradad built a big brick building there and sold the Flints out of there. Then his grandad put in the auto parts store/ware house there. It's still there and selling auto parts to this day.

Skin sure looks bigger up there Sixball.

Took 'ol Rowdy out to poop this morn, seen a Flint emblem sticking out of the ground. Looked it up... 1920's Flint Automobile. You knever know what popps up out of the ground here.

Dang, they want good money for those emblems in good shape, $152🤯  Found a pic of my town in the 1920s,  about 2 blocks from my house. Probably one of these cars, if they didn't move or sell their old cars out of town they ended up at our dump. When they closed it in the early 80s, they only picked up surface cars and junk. Everything else was just covered over. The back east side was deep in old teens thru 30's cars and trucks, buggies etc.

That thing looks great! Too bad most people who see it won't how much work it took to make it look like it came that way.

Those are bigger snakes than ours. Anything over 3 1/2' is a big one here. I've only had a few over 4' here. Got the first one of the year last week. We were headed for town in the evening and it was crossing the road about 20 yards from the house. When I got out of the car he took off. I fired 5 shots and only hit him once. No shot loads. It stoped him but didn't kill him. Not wanting to waste any more good self defense loads, I had to stomp this particular critter in to a wall hanging. I'll be 81 in a couple of weeks and my stompers are not as agile as they used to be. It took a while. All the time I was thinking of what I always told my boys. Most people that get bit by rattlers are screwing with them. His hide is on the wall in the new greenhouse. He looks bigger than he was just a little over 3'. They stretch quite a bit. That door is only 28".

I don't care to have either around. Hopefully your bear ain't aggressive😁    At least you can probably see the bear before getting too close.
