On the way to the Glassman
« on: July 21, 2014, 04:02:56 PM »
Finally to the point of taking the car to get glass cut an installed . I spent the winter reinforcing the interior and trunk with sq. tubing ,then covering that with sheet metal. Being a gluten for punishment I then whacked 3" out of the top. Next up , register & tag ,NSRA inspection. Then it's highways and byways !

It is channeled 4" in the front ,it tapers off toward the back . It has a flat floor , I modified the mounting on Dodge Pacifica 2nd row seats ,when seated I have about 1 1/2"-2" head clearance . I'm 5' 11"

Great looking car!  It's fun when you get to this stage and are close to taking it out and driving it.  Congrats!

Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

The car looks great! Good luck with the glass.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn
