I currently have a Kugel IFS under my 1930 Coach and fine it steers more like a Go Cart.  The ride isn't bad, but the steering is touchy.  Not knowing what other styles of front ends ride and steer like, I don't if I could do better. 

Anyone had experience with the two?

I have a TCI in mine but I won;t get to drive it until spring.  I'll let you know how it handles then.

      I have put Fatman front ends under both my Dad's '33 and my '35. In my opinion they are some of the best IFS out there. Does your current front end use rack and pinion steering or is it a steering box?  My Dad's '33 originally had a corvair front end and it was a handful to drive. Fatman (and pretty much everyone else) uses the rack and I think it is really nice. You can turn the wheel while the car is sitting still with no problem and we don't use power steering!  I hope this helps.

I have a Kugel IFS in my 32 and it handles great. The key is to have plenty of positive caster. I have 4.5 degrees positive caster with the suspension loaded. Most of the caster setting is determined when you weld it in and you have to make sure you compensate for any rake the finished car will have but there is some adjustment possible with the cams on the upper control arms.  I also set the toe in at 1/8 " overall. Camber is at close to zero but that shouldn't affect handling much only tire wear.

Like Moose mentioned attention to positive caster is needed.  Changing the height of front (or rear tires) will affect caster also.  No expert..but I would think a little too much positive caster is better than a little too much negative caster for handling.
