Checked out a 37 Chevy 4 door sedan today for my son. The front and rear suspenions need to be R&R... attached pictures of what is up front now...anyone have an idea what this front suspension came from?  (Note: The drum spindles have rotors on them?) The upper arms are tubular.

It looks like a corvair unit. Does it have a chevy bolt pattern? And if so the build is prolly dated  quite a few years ago.

Now that you mentioned it..it may be a Corvair...someone slid a set of rotors on there..& won't work because they're hitting the lower arms and have no caliper provisions.

Ed,my guess also is Corvair,I actually put one under my 34  and converted to 82 Buick  Regal spindles and disc brakes,then scrapped it and went to MII

 I say Corvair. I put a few of those under early fords back in the 60's. It was a pretty popular swap. It was difficult to get springs with enough rate though because they were small OD.We useually put air bags inside them to get decent ride hight.

Thanks...it's has to come off, can't locate parts and the car sits too high. Will be installing a M2 for those reasons.

If anyone needs Corvair suspension parts we'll have them this Spring

BTW:We bought the 37 Chevy sedan.

 37 Chevys are one of my favorites., whether they be  4dr,  2dr, truck, or what ever. The front sheet metal has a design all it's own. I'd like to see some pic's of it.

Thought I had some pics handy...but only have a video. I'll try to get some up tomorrow.  My first 30's car was a 37 Chevy coupe.
