I have deer and turkey, fox and all that stuff too.....I also have neighbors 20 yards away :). I have about 3/4 acre, I live on the border, last house in the city. Nowhere near as cool as some of you guys, but if you have to live in the city, you can't beat it.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

That is really cool! I want one. It would be fun to make it so a set of metal silhouettes spin as it goes by.

Here is a video from the Bianchi Cup, ..this is the "mover event" (1 of 4 events).  Plan on attending it next May in Columbia, Missouri.  Built that mover to practice.

Last time I shot the event was 28 years ago....here is short story related to the event:

That looks like serious stuff. I never competed at anything near that level and that probably explains why I won some.  ;D

Received this the other day when a relative passed.  They were cleaning house.  He had an ammo room .

Sorry about your relative. I headed to a service from one of my teaching friends later today.

You'll have fun with that. I have one just like it. Take some weights to set on the legs or longer spikes and watch out for you shins when you launch the clays!  :o :)

Decided to put it together just so see if any parts are missing. Luckily he kept it all there.
This unit has a pull cord instead of a foot pedal.

You'll have fun with that. Makes me want to get mine out. A friend has one that mounts on his receiver hitch. The clays make a mess but dissolve over time. I don't know how the Feds feel about it now.

Went out shooting with my dad today.  Tried out the clay thrower.  It didn't throw far at first. Made some adjustments,  threw farther but we were terrible at it.
Maybe we should have pointed it into the wind.
Used a few as stationary targets against a hill. That was fun.  Had to aim low to hit em.

Also tried out 3" shells and swapped over to the heavy ring.  Cycled those with no problems except for one odd fire/jam.  That shell looked like it had some water damage,  somehow didn't see it when loading.
Great day and the weather was perfect.

Shotguns are all about hitting fast moving sometimes small targets. They are pretty good for other shooting too. It takes practice to hit aerial targets but it's fun. Glad you got the thrower working and are using it. I have not done nearly enough shotgunning lately. Playing with some quiet 22 rounds form some vintage rifles. Looking for a cheap .454 Casull chamber reamer for a revolver.

Next time I'll pick up a bag to rest it on to sight it in on a table.  Need to finish breaking in my dad's and throw some hi-velocity 3" through it.

Years ago I put a pistol grip on my short barrel long magazine Mossberg 500. I fired 2 or 3 3" 00 buck rounds out of it and took it off. I shoot some heavy 44 & 45 hand gun loads but that was painful.
