Billy,
Sounds nice. I've never seen that part of Colorado before.  I'll have to keep it in mind for future trips.  My wife and I will be flying into Denver late July and driving up to Yellowstone and then over to the Black Hills of South Dakota returning to Denver.  We're really looking forward to that.

if i was single i would simply drive it the 300 miles there.
but there is NO WAY my gal is up for that.
besides the king cab GMC 2500k is tailor made for stuff like this.

Billy,
Take plenty of pictures.  I'd like to see some of the scenery out there.  Enjoy the trip!

update
the old kingpin bushings were installed upside down.
no wonder they were toast after 3000 miles.
i am putting oversize kingpins in today.
and if i play my cards right*.
my bushings will be right side up.

May the kingpin gods smile upon you. :)
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

billy....I hope everything works out OK for you. Might as well buy a lottery ticket too just in case after being so good there's some luck left over.
