New guy from SW Iowa
« on: December 03, 2012, 09:07:52 PM »
Hello,

I am working on a 32 five window coupe. No chop, full fenders v8 and white walls.

Hopefully I will be able to drive it the summer after next but who knows.

I do need a radiator splash apron, ashtray, passenger SIDE hood.

Will try to post a few pictures soon.
Never underestimate the power of a lubricant.

Welcome from New Hampshire. Looking forward to some updates on your 32.
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

What town in SW Iowa are you from? I have half of a 32 hood top but not the side. I will look around some. I know a few guys with parts. Does a 32 coupe have the same hood as a 32 4 door sedan? I know where there is a 32 sedan in a grove but I don't know if the hood is there or not. I'm about 32 miles southeast of Sioux Falls, SD. I'm in the northwest corner of Iowa.

Man I would be digging the whole car out, if even just for the parts. I wouldn't mind having a 4 door sedan for another delivery conversion. I have in laws in Sioux city Iowa.

I'll see if the land owner wants to sell it. I'm sure he won't care. The farm house is about to cave in on itself and all that's left are some over grown trees and grass. I know that there are 2 late 30's or 40's Chevy cars in there too. One's a fleetline and the other is a coupe. The worst one of the bunch is the 32 Chevy. It's upside down in the dirt. It's a 4 door and I remember the front fender had a wheel well in it for a spare tire. I don't remember what parts on it were good. I'll look into it (find out how much he wants for it) and get some pictures for you and you can go from there.

I left my camera at home but I got to go look at the car again. I'm sure it's a 31 not a 32. Sorry. The hood is lying flat and folded over. It might be restorable but I'm not sure. I'll throw my camera in the truck and get some pictures next time.
