My 29' Chevy roadster
« on: March 30, 2013, 07:29:58 AM »
Here is my 29 Chevy roadster project. I've had it for 5 years or so and have been slowly gathering parts when I find them in my budget...

I also had a 29 coupe body that I sold in January to a local guy to buy some shop equipment so I could finally start working on the car once it decides to warm up lol. I bought a 69' 307/4 spd from a Camaro for $350  that will be getting a set of 462 heads with 1.94 valves, 327/350 hp cam, Edelbrock3x2  etc. Just this past weekend I bought a complete front suspension from an AD truck that was recently rebuilt for $125 plus a nice headlight bar for $15, Hurst Competition Plus shifter body for $20 and another 2GC carb for $25. I also picked up a chrome fuel log for $20.

Some more goodies... Really nice windshield base, headlight buckets and stanchions and some patterns for some of the missing stuff on my body. The fender I'm not sure if it's Chevy or not but it is NOS and the price was right. My new GM Restoration Parts Corvette valve covers finally came in. Finished making my progressive linkage up. Made my own instead of buying a kit. Have $15 into the linkage.

Nice project! I'm working on a 33 Chevy Cabriolet.  Welcome to the forum!

Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

Very nice roadster project ya got there. I too had a 29 coupe that I sold off to pay for some other goodies. I think all the 29 chev coupes were three windows, cuz I don't believe I ever saw anything different....John
