Haven't done much off-road at all lately. So this video is weather related.
One of my favorite YouTube channel's is
Pecos Hank. He chases tornadoes and other weather vids.
Here we dont get any twisters (one on record) but during our monsoon we've been getting some intense thunderstorms. Missed a few good storms with the camera but was able to get this lightning storm.
Had to learn quickly on settings and adjustments.

You have to be lightning fast to catch those. I love the light shows here when they are across the valley. When it is hitting the peaks around the house I enjoy it less. My dog doesn't like any of it.

Nice video Rattiac!  I enjoy a good rumbling thunderstorm and light show. Everytime my brother comes back for a visit from Calif, he hopes we have one. He said out there they are not nearly impressive or LOUD, they really echo down the canyons down south.

My old trailer house seemed to attract lightning strikes, got my Tv 3 times in 5yrs. Don't care for it up close! My buddy Tom had one hit a combine he was working on one harvest. Blew him 25 feet away, he is deathly scared of them now!

Started working on the video for the 32 again.  It's about 98% done , just need to get a few rolling shots.

Beautiful country!
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

Great quality video....I'd be interested in seeing some info on your drone setup.

Nice work on the video!
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

Thanks guys. I went through a few songs before hitting the "public" button. Music is very important.

My drone is a Yuneec Q500 4k .
One of the reasons I went with Yuneec is the screen is built into the remote/radio. Unlike DJI which needs a cell phone to see the camera's images. To me, that's more things to fail leading to a "fly away".

I did buy it as "used" since a new drone is about $1,200-1,400 new and learning how to fly the first time is a bit scary.

When I was out there, I was originally looking for an old GM snow plow train that I stumbled upon in 2014. It was gone 😢 and I found the Caboose to film.
I figured no biggie since I had pics in my computer but when I got home , that file was missing. Very sad about that.
I may take another drive out there to see if it's been moved farther down the line.
That area is very sketchy though. It's very close to a bombing range and the road goes by it (on its property) which may be closed to ordinance disposal. 💥😨 could also be closed on the way out and trapped in the desert.

I do have a backup drive I'll check for those pics before making the risky drive.
Kinda wonder if my drone popped up on their radar.

That plow may be long gone. :(
But, I did find some pics of others out there. This is probably "dry storage" for union Pacific. So maybe in the future another may show up.
