I know someone in this thread said the Jim with autowood.net isn't taking any new customers.  I called him anyway today and he said that he is now.  ????  Not sure what's going on with that.  He was talking about sending a full kit out and individual pieces to someone today.

He quoted the wood kit for a 1933 5 window coupe at $3495.
Roof only at  $550

He invited me to his shop on a Saturday to see their work, since I live about 1-1/2 hr from their shop.  Just thought I'd let you guys know.

Wow that would be an interesting tour.  Hopefully they'll let you take some pics.

Man what an opportunity, I believe I have to make that trip, what you would learn and see how these old Chevy's went together.

Sounds like a it could be an interesting day. Let us know how it goes, take some pictures.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

this will give you an idea of how much wood is in a 34 chevy.

They assemble the wood frame and then begin nailing and screwing the sheet metal to the wood frame.

When I purchased my 32 most of the wood had already been replaced with steel. There was only a couple pieces left in it. The right b pillar and the bottom and top supports for the dash. I was amazed how well the dove tail joints were made the number of pieces they used to make the curves.

He said that I didn't need to buy anything to come visit his shop.  I asked about a instructions for assembling the wood and he said, "I don't write books.  But if you have a question just call me."

Anyone in the area want to make a roadtrip?  With Christmas fast approaching and then winter, maybe a spring trip would work.

Mike, that is a ridiculous amount of wood in the frame of these cars.

RC  I might be interested in making the trip with you, I live in south central Ky. but my mother lives in So. Indiana and I'm up there once a month or so. I will be there over the holidays for a few days, maybe we can work something out if the weather is not to bad. Would it be ok to bring a friend.

In my build on SHAZZBOTT A 1935 CHEVROLET ROADSTER I show the wood in detail, just the seat back and the rumble seat lid hold more than enough wood.  The door frames are wood as is the whole floor from the seat forward..   My 35 coupe holds more wood than the roadster I have just never had it torn down that far to expose it.

These cars , the 1935 standard series Chevrolets are the last of the wood framed Chevrolets.
