A Hudson drove past......
« on: November 02, 2016, 03:51:26 PM »
.....my house.
I was out my driveway, quick as I could, but It drove off. I guessed it was the guy I brokered the deal between him and my buddy Mo, over a year back, for Mo's old 1924 Essex.
Car was a 1922 Hudson Essex.. It's never been restored.
Anyway, they were lost, looking for me, but didn't remember where I lived.
Ten minutes later, my buddy Baz rings.
I say, your going to tell me there's a couple in a Hudson looking for me, eh?
He says, how the hell did you know that?
Small town, and the couple had asked Bazes daughter in town, if she knew me.
She rung her Dad, so soon after, the Hudson was in my driveway.
We chatted for a bit, then the owner took me for a ride outer town.
That made my week!
Unfortunately, when we got back, I only got a few photos, before my phone died, but also took some small vids, while out in it. I'll try and get vids on U Tube today, if I get time, but here's the pics.
Remember, this car has never been restored.

Very cool!  Nice shape for never being restored :)
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

That is a nice car. I bet it has a story.

Second gear sounds like a WW2 air raid siren.
It screams, but the car scoots along well, and has a top speed of 70.

I love the chase scenes in some of the old movies that captured some of the real sounds of engines and gears. The ones before all the sound was done in sound booth.
