New old timer
« on: February 06, 2013, 11:06:06 PM »
Hi All,
Greg Coleman is the name, from Milledgeville, IL.

I run a business making old Bowtie and other brands of reproduction parts, called Chevi Shop Custom Casting.

I have been doing this for over 30 years.

I had a fire that shut me down a while on 9/14/01, yep same week.

I sell parts and a little bit of everything on ebay under the name of Chevi-shop.

I used to use the lost wax method of casting to reproduce a lot of 1930s Chevy parts.

I have been getting back to a lot of them with a couple of new methods.

Rb's, Kessler's, Chevs of the '40s, American Antique auto, Outlaw Performance, David Stewman Co., The Filling Station and others were my customers.

Can't make as many parts as fast as I could, but still plinking away.

I cast one part or a dozen if they are needed.

Greg

Thanks for signing up..You do some outstanding work. TFOCH bought one of your re-pro 33-34 tail light horns..really looks great.

Please feel free to list as much of your product as possible. If we only become known as a parts source...that would be great.

If you have a business web address...we can include it below.

In any event..welcome and list them parts!

Welcome from New Hampshire Greg.  As Ed stated I bought a 33 Chevy Tail Light Bracket from you on EBay and I'm real happy with it.  Great quality and looks just like an original.  Hope you enjoy the site.

Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

Welcome Greg. Its great to see that someone is still making repo parts for the old Chevy's. I bought a hole lot of parts from Kessler's in the 90's so I most likely have some of your handiwork. I look forward to seeing a list of what you can offer.

Hey Greg, welcome. Maybe you could post a pictorial or something like that in the tech forum. It might be cool to see how it's done.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn
