1934 speaker location
« on: March 20, 2016, 03:09:04 PM »
Does anyone have pictures of the mounting location for a 1934 Chevy radio speaker?  I know it has to be close to the radio, probably on the firewall?? Just not sure exactly where.

Thanks,

Chuck

Ya got me, I have seen the under dash control module with radio tubes many time.

I am not sure if the speaker is part of the big box that holds all the tubes or whether its a stand alone item.  Gonna find my accessories book and see if theres a picture of it.

Found my 1933 Chevrolet salesmans data book.  Says..." CHEVROLETS SUPERHETERODYNE RADIO Price $59.50 completely installed."

Shows the power head with dial, the speaker is shown on its own.  I do not think I have ever seen a post or a thread on where THE SPEAKER should be located.

You might and should get an answer by posting in the VCCA CHAT , its online and specifically the 1933--1936 section after you become a member, no charge.

Thanks for the info Mike.  I took a look at the VCAA and decided to join as a member. If I get an answer to the speaker location, I will inform the group here too.

I posted to an old thread and brought it too current and there is a couple of replies already .

Its the source to go too on vintage Chevrolets for things we would not normally know.
