Just posting a picture of one car we have being built
« on: February 26, 2015, 10:53:21 AM »
This is one of Glen's cars being done right now. Will be going to upholstery next week. 1932 Landow Phaeton and they only made 500 of these according to my dad. I will be posting pictures of the 1933 Pontiac sedan delivery very soon also. I have not been to involved in the Phaeton build but I did do a lot on the sedan delivery build.

Welcome to the site sedan1933.  Nice Phaeton :D
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

I talked you your dad a couple of times when he was dropping off or picking up parts here.  He said he has a 33 pontiac sedan delivery.  Now that's gotta be a really rare piece, I would like to see the production figures on it.

The Pontiac sedan delivery is still in the works. We had a little messed up deal with that. Things were going good and then he decided to sell it and the gentleman changed his mind a year later about buying it so now we have to put the engine and everything back in it. We hope to have that ready to drive by this summer. I cant remember how many he said they made but I know it wasn't very many. Dad likes the rare stuff that is hard to find which is good until you have to find parts but luckily after 40 years he has most of the parts we need to finish most of the cars. Now it is just finding time to do them all lol. I will post some pictures of that too I just have not been able to find the ones we have taken so have to take more. To be honest (for me) it has gone from hating the cars growing up to a love for them and now that I am in my late 30's it is a passion that will never go away.

Yea, very nice, can't wait to see it with the interior and top.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

well phaeton has not yet made it to upholstery shop but hopefully soon. Would love to see dad driving it this summer and enjoying it. Should be done by spring if spring ever shows up here. And thank you for welcoming me to the site. You all have beautiful cars and even nice projects. A lot of them are better than what we have to start with on some of ours. I have a renewed respect for anyone that builds these cars. It takes a lot of patience and time.
