does anyone have 28 Roadster windsheild frame dimensions?    I was going to build the posts out of old running board brackets which appear to have the same flanges, just wanted to know the inner width.  Or of course i would buy 28 roadster posts if anyone has em.  Got a lot of work done to the car and will be posting up soon.

28chevyguy I was just scooting through an old rod and custom book and it showed some guy building a roadster top and a windshield out of electrical conduit. I thought what a great idea.He also built the top bows using electrical conduit  vette59jdwl

Is the windshield for a '28 the same as a '26? The stanchions in the picture are rusted through but I found another set. I may use the rested ones when I chop it anyway. in the picture  Using running board brackets is a great idea. I'll have to deal with the top issue someday.

thanks !   Looks like the 26-27 windshield posts have curved in lower taper where as the 28 is a straight taper ,  firewall looks the same as your 26 .   If you get a chance could you ever measure the width of your frame on the top most point and also the total height from the center of the cowl??   might have to get ahold of PBRme for measurements off his 28 touring.

Sorry I took so long. The outside width where the top glass attaches is 39". The width of the glass frame is 36 3/4". The height of the window frame in the center is 16 5/8". The body is put away right now so I could not get a measurement from the middle of the cowl to the top of the glass frame. I hope this helps.
