Your critters, the easy life
« on: February 01, 2025, 09:36:57 PM »
I was busy with chores around the house till after lunch, no time for Rowdy. Came back in the house from cleaning the garage and Rowdy must have give up on me, he is upside down on the love seat with out a care in the world. That is till he woke up, then it's his time. He has been stuck to me like a tick the rest of the day.

I don't know why most my critters have been upside down enjoying the easy life.

Lets see your critters enjoying life.

1st a sleep
2nd ok, my time
3rd lets nap
4th 'Ol Harvey where he liked to nap
5th Harvey with out a care. Sure miss him.

Sugar and our hairless kitty Olive.  She looks like a Alien.
Sugar is a St. Bur-doodle.
Both don't shed which is nice.  I still find Max hair in the jeep  .
Found pictures of my dad's and me Great Dane recently. Big dog. He passed a few hour's before #3 Dale Earnhardt.  Rough day.

No shedding is a bonus man! Having had Goldens since 1999, i 'v had to vacuume every day, sometimes twice. With Rowdy, its quite a bit.  Yep, your kitty Olive is an Alien😄  My aunt had several Great Dains, they died early. All were from a flopped stomach twisting the intestons.

I stayed up a couple hours later than usual. Went out to garage for a smoke, couple beers and listen to some tunes. Rowdy was wanting to go to bed. He kept coming up, noseing my arm and go to kitchen door and stare at me. Every 15mins repeat, i finally shut everything down and went in.

Demanding little old guy😄

They follow when I go out to work around the place. Sometimes they help.

Rosa especially! She follows me around outside and will eventually find a spot to sleep if I stay in one place very long. We have a pretty close relationship. She like all the res is a rescue. She was about a year old when we got her. Very soon after she got caught in a trap and I didn't find her until after dark. That has happened to several of our dogs but she is the only one that ever answered my calls while in a trap. I have doctored her through some pretty bad injuries in her coyote killing days. She & I stick closer to home now.

She's my girl but when she killed chickens she wore them.

Lol, i've seen that in Hollywood movies, didn't know if it was just a movie thing or if it actualy was a thing and worked.

Is it the shame or the stink?

It worked on her. She won't even look at the chickens and I've seen her herd the new dogs away from them. Yes, you let it stay on them until it rots and falls off. It is the stink and the shame. It is hard on everyone. Obviously they lose house visits.  ::) Sometimes the can tear it off with a hind foot. Then they get to wear a T shirt. I've done it with 3 dogs and it worked on all 3. It beats the other options.

When i'm out in the garage, i usually get the feeling someome is looking in the window to see if i'm in. Usually i'll turn and look to motion them on around to the door. Lately, nobody has been there. Figured it out yesterday, if the kitchen door ain't latched dog can get it open. He usually don't come out unless told to.
Yep, somebody is always watching😄
