Got the shell back from Macco.
Hooked up the trailer and gave it a test. Didn't go far cause the tires are toast.
With the jeep total length was 29ft.
With the truck it's 33ft.

Finally pulled down the spare tire and found the wire for the 3rd brakelight. Some say it's labeled CHTL (center high taillight) but mine wasn't.
Found it at the passenger rear side behind the spare. It was folded back to itself.
Wired the dome light to the license plate light.
Helps prevent leaving it on by accident.

Now I dont have to worry about the fuzz.🚔
Used a 5ft , 4-flat trailer extension. Perfect length.

Good work! It looks like I be doing some of that kind of wire chasing on the 2006 Silverado I bought yesterday. I has an aftermarket radio with tons of features one of which is a backup camera that doesn't seem to work, There is also a trailer light flat 4 connector coming out of the floor near the transfer case shifter. It may have been for speakers in the back seat area.

Made some progress on the truck. 
Took it to get the 02 sensors replaced. 
Previous owner had 2 new upper sensors in the box.
Had those installed but it popped another code and ran like crap.  Turns out they were wrong.
I bought and installed new units and now No Codes.

Runs great now.  Ive been driving it off&on to see if they come back. So far so good.
Looks like it's a keeper. 🚛

Next on the list is upper ball joints and tires.

Till then. I picked up a new fuel pump for the jeep .
200,000 miles and it's still going  but I worry the screen is getting plugged up resulting in lower power.
Shouldn't be too bad since I already cut a square hole in the floor.
Poor 32 is just sitting with a flat tire 😢.

Glad it's better. I'm gathering parts and fluids for an enter end fluid and filter change on my '06 Silverado. I had not thought about O2 sensors I need to check for codes. Gas milage seems pretty bad but I haven't really checked it.

One thing I keep thinking about and never do is to remove the exhaust manifold bolts and anti-seize the threads (one at a time of course).  Talking about the GM LS engines..they seem to love breaking bolt heads off...might prevent a headache in the future.  Probably wouldn't hurt to do this annually and R&R-ing them one at a time wouldn't be a big deal.

I admit I fit in the dinosaur category. My previous newest GM V8 was the 350 in my '99 Yukon. The 5.3 in my "new" '06 Silverado bears little resemblance to anything I know. I won't be doing much under the hood. Oh well, maybe I can use that time on something that I understanding needs the attention. I don't work under the hood of my wife's '14 Grand Cherokee either.

I think I am pretty much with you Sixball. I never took the time to stay up with technology. I don't consider myself real old but I enjoy the nuts and bolts of my youth and although they say new technology is great and so much better....who cares? I do as much on my newer cars that youtube will allow

Yes, I thought getting a 15 year old pickup that I'd be OK, NOT. Youtube has been a big help. I'm glad I know some young guys.
