Road Closures
« on: November 16, 2023, 11:58:52 AM »
I'm sure these are some of the roads that Rattiac has shown us. These are not near all of the roads out OUR LAND that the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) is closing. In a state where 86% of the land belongs to the Government in some way this is alarming.
Sorry I can't make the link from SEMA work.

The probability of life originating from accident is comparable to the probability of the unabridged dictionary resulting from an explosion in a printing shop.  Edwin Conklin

Yes and was just on this one with my pops earlier this spring.
Leads to alot of hiking trails also so gets lots of traffic.
This brand new Dodge T-REX was backing up to let uphill traffic go by and backed himself right off the cliff.  900ft down. 😳
So Rory did this for free to keep other YT'ers (Heavy D) from attempting the recovery and destroying the cliffside with heavy equipment.  It's a good watch.

Several years ago we were having breakfast in our favorite cafe in Lone Pine CA. Though we were only there a few time a year the owners always recognized us and treated us well. They told us they had just sold the business because many of the trails & roads they had moved there to enjoy were being closed. They hosted off road events and brought  tens of thousands of dollars to the area. That won't happen with hikers getting 2-3 miles onto the area. It is happening all over the West because a few noisy city people think the local people don't care about the place they live. Way over 90% of the US population lives in a few cities. Those people control the federal government  and hundreds of millions of acres of land that they will never see. Look at what is going on in this country TODAY (11/16/23) and tell me the people who love this country are not the peaceful ones. There are sad time ahead.
