I just figured it belonged to him when he said family sold Flints and once owned my ground. I'd a just tossed it in a drawer anyway. He use to have a picture hanging on the wall up front of his great grandad and employees poseing for a pic with the cars in the new building show room up front. Said when he sold store, he doesn't remember where the put the picture.

I googled the years they sold cars under History, A.I. says no such business or sales of autos. Then i checked for the old Chrysler/Plymouth, Lincon/Mercury, Buick, Chevrolet, Ford dealerships here through the years. A.I. google said no such vehicle dealers ever here in town.  A.I. is pretty stupid most the time.

That and they have been great neighbors from the time i moved in here 45yrs ago. 🙂

For a lot of the searches I do the AI responses are wrong, very wrong. I mostly skip them and scroll down to response that "may" be more accurate. Nothing on line is a sure thing.

It is sad that so much local history just goes away. I bet there are tax records for that business.

Brothers back got bad again, he"s been om the couch iceing it. Text me a pic of his first race car, hobby stock class. Said in text "remember when we did Le Mans?"  First thought that he super imposed the pic on that track. Then... i don't remember it being any where that straight. Then i coulda sworn it was a '68 Charger not a '69. He said he was playing with an A.I. program. Then he said it's cool but scary at the same time, and be a real cheater for people selling cars on line.

Brother was 16 when he started racing with the 383 '68 Charger. It was heavy but loved to run up above the lower groove. Give him a great position. Later when he was 18 he bought a prior year points champion ship '68 Camaro. He found out quick that car had to be ran low or it would just blow off the top side of the track😅
 The old Dodge city track was 3/8s mile inside and shy of 1/2  on the outside. It was originaly a half mile horse track way back in the 1920-30s, then Rodeo grounds before auto racing.

Yep, dirt track racing is my favorite.  Probably because i grew up watching it as a young'n. Asphalt racing just isn't as much fun to watch for me. I've never raced on a dirt track other than packing the track, a few hot laps and an occational trip out after the races to bomb around.

A couple months after i shattered my ankle from skydiving, i got to the pits early one night. Still in a cast, i helped my brother for a bit then went over to my uncle Jim's pit. He had two cars that year, a latemodel sportsman mid 70's Camaro and a hobby stock 70-72 Monte Carlo. Jim was pissed cause his hobby stock driver was a no show. He asked me if i'd like to drive it.... sure i said. He grabbed a helmet and told me to see if it fit good, yes it did. Showed me all the functions on the car and told me where it worked best on the track and it's tendencies. I got in and sinched up my belts, then he reached in and really yanked down on the belts crushing me into the seat. I fired it up..... and a hand reached in and popped my belt release... wth? I hear "Get your a$$ out of that car!, It was dad. Then he commenced to chewing on Jim's butt for letting me get in, with my cast on😄   
That's as close as i ever got to dirt racing.

I did a hundreds of practice laps and a few flat track races novice 250cc class. I found out I wasn't fast enough to ever win a race or crazy enough to get fast enough. Just didn't have the balls.  That is still my favorite kind of racing but anything that is all left turns in the dirt is good for me.
