Thanks.  But... since last november its all my brother. I just had him load up all the parts i gatherd up through the years that i never had time to install. I now just offer opinion😁

He got the arm rest repaired and back on, and a new black steering wheel wrap. He decided to replace the radiator, its been seeping around the filler neck and the hose bungs. Repairable, but the core was looking a bit rough. Ordered a new aluminium one, which he will paint black and keep the original.... just because.

Decided not to install just yet as direct replacement seldom is that. He wants to take it to a local Corvette parts vendors customer appriciation day car show this weekend.

Well he made his maiden voyage to the city and back. First 60 mile trip in over 11yrs. Said the show had a lot of nice Vettes there, including a super nice '58, factory blue met w/blue interior.  He didnt think to get any pictures ☹️  He said people kept gravitating to Dads 58. Then, what he didn't even see coming.... got a "Best Corvette" pick. He didn't know how, there were nicer Vettes there.

Got a quick cameo appearence on the area news feed. I guess all the proceeds from the show went to the local Highschool auto shop. That's pretty cool, not too many of those left anymore. My tiny town shut down the highschool auto shop late 60's early 70s.

Got home, transmision was leaking a bit of grease out of the front cone and he said one of shocks had oil leaking out of it. Clean up.... isle 2.    Said he could feel it needed shocks.

Brother got started on the radiator yesterday, and as expected... the "direct replacement" radiator didn't fit.  The bottom tank was too wide. He said you would have to cut off the frame horns to fit it. 😡
So it gets sent back and insearch of another.
He had a problem with a laydown of power on full throttle after a good warm up. I give him a list of possibles to try, first to verify timing chain isn't loose. Then possibility of weak coil or condersers on the old Mallory dual point distributor. He had the wife pick up a set of condensers in town, just about had a stroke. They were $21 each.  I told him  he really didn't need that old dual point, and could probably just put in a stock one, he wasn"t racing it after all anyway. I'm sure he'll get it figured out.

On a side note.... i finally got my mower going and it is like a new again. Everything is tight and smooth, only had 30mins of mowing  the high spots but was very enjoyable now🙂

Brother mowed last week, went back along his trail weedeating the edge, came across 1st rattler. With in a half hour got another. This morn he was throwing the tennis balls for the dogs at the pond, they weren't paying close attention and missed the ball. He leaned over to pick it up and wham, rattler lurched out of the cotton tails and almost got him. He jumped back and he swore it hit one of his dogs. None of the yelped though. He pulled his 45 and shot  with bird shot, it started chassing him. Shot 2nd bird shot and really pissed it off. His 3rd round just regular 45 round and almost took his head off clean. 10 button, 49" long with out head.

Said all dogs were licking them selfs, but were all wet. None has shown any symptoms for the past 3hrs. He said it must have been a dry bite or he just hit and missed with fangs.

He told the neighbor, as he is suppose to come nect week to backhoe out all the cotton tails off the pond bank. Neighbor said he just killed #11 at his place🤯  No thanks, way to many for me!

He lets them be if they are at the far reaches of the ranch, but house, shop, pond, and main trail are close to the house. With dogs and grandkids he's not taking chances.
