Lol, a ton of yard work, man i mean. I don't remember such a wet summer in a decade here. August and everything still green, mowing every 4 days. Western Kansas hasn't been known for humidity, feels like the damn Ozarks this year. 🥵
Glad your back on it. Looks like you got it figured out good. Looking good!

Back on track, summer is over and garage time is a priority again.
I just had to get me a new toy to fully enjoy summer, so I went and bought a 1985 TransAm
with a high output 305 and manual transmission, WS6 curvy road option, T-tops and AC delete.
Fun car, especially after I put in a new distributor and got it running right.
So, back in the shop I continued on the rear fender, cut it down a bit where it had a bit of a bulge
and welded things together again, ground the welds and rolled it on the English Wheel today.
After some hammer and dolly work it looks okay, except for the last two inches in the back, which
will be adjusted later to get a similar shape as the other fender.
I've planned to draw a concept drawing for the longest time, all since I bought the Buick back in
the fall of 2019. I finally got one done friday night.
The head lights are still missing, I think I'll just try to get them mounted as low and as far back
as possible, when the front fenders are done.

Essex i'm glad you took some time off to have some summer cruising in Firechicken🙂 I was hopeing you didn't jumpship on us with your Buick project. I think your the only one posting a real project right now. Many have finished or stalled on theirs.
Your rear fenders are really taking on a nice shape. Car is coming along.
Thats another thing i miss, sketching. I'm lucky to hold a pen long enough to write a check, poor gals at the bank trying to figure out what i was trying to write😁 Your sketch looks nice!

Thank you
sammons
No jump shipping going on.
I'll share some summer going ons here.
We had a great summer, if you don't mind it raining most of four weeks in June.
That's when we had a UFO kind of sighting on the field next to our house. Like the
crop cicles in the UK in the eighties. Proof of out of this world life? I was going to
sell tickets for the public to get to se it, but surprisingly no one seemed interested.
(first pic.)
The tractor stalled in the middle of the yard last winter, and gettig it running was one
of the summer thingsI had to get done. Predictable, it was crud in the fuel tank, probably
from fueling the poor old thing up from jugs and farmer tanks for the last 60 years.
(middle pic.)
I would so like to design a sporty or racy car around the 3rd gen Firebird. KITT here as
an example and my concept under it for comparison.
The rear window (which doesn't look good to me) is covered on the sides with fast back
Mustang style side louvers, the rear window also covered with "cat steps". most of the
plastic in the back is cut away, and the rear of the car is made to look late sixties firebird
but with round tai llights. just because I like round tail lights.
The front is made to somewhat resemble a 1969 Firfebird, the hood is not as sloped as
it was. The the only technical modification: The front axle is moved forward five inches
or so, to make it look right.
To me it looks like some kind of histori TransAm car. It would be fun, because no one
would know what it is.
Yeah, I've got ideas. Lots of ideas.

Too bad there are so many hoaxsters, it would be nice to know if that stuff was real, (out of this world created).
When i was in high school there was a UFO sighting 35 miles SW of us for 2 nights. Just north of another small town. On the 3rd night a bunch of us grabbed beer and loaded up to go check it out. A buddy drove us down in a fadded gold 71 Delta Olds 88 4dr HT, his dad had ground down there. We parked up on a hill to watch over the valley. We didn"t see anything for couple hours just people driving all over down there. We were parked sideways, and i told Joe to turn the dome light on, i was looking for another beer. He did and drew attention. He blinked his park lights several times and everybody headed towards. I told him not to turn his lights on and not to touch brakes and get outta here. Lol we were the UFO sighting that night😁
You always need them tractors when they are down.
That gen 3 would look much better that way 👍

Hehe, that was funny,
sammons
, I would assume most UFO sightings are like that.
I wonder about the crop circles, though. I'm pretty sure they're hoaxes, but very well exectuted
real works of art. And sadly, if I'm being really honest, even better than mine.
