The problem in Australia is much like the western part of the US, all of the US really ,in that the vast majority of the population live in cities and control the entire law making process. Combine that with controlling whats taught in public schools and the mind set of a nation can be reset in a  few generations. All you have to do is control the narrative and wait for the old folks to die.

How about Australia with their insane Covid response:

The state of South Australia has developed an app to enforce home quarantines. So, If they did that here would the police actually make the house call? Many in rural counties in the west would not. Many would wish they had not. Would it be better for everyone if we were not at home? This would be a very foolish policy in this country but the leftist could use it in their favor to further disarm the American population.
