Thank you TFoch and sammons.
It turns out working on these front fenders involves plenty of hours per square foot of sheet metal.
The innner fender lip seems to be coming okay. We'll see how it turns out, the right hand side fender
will have to look similar to the left one, there might be some adjustments to do when that time comes.

I had cut the back end of the new fender lip some 3/8" too short, I made a new pece and cut out
what I needed, then welded and ground.

The fender back on the car, I started working on the fender to apron transition. It took me some
time to get some kind of workable idea to make this transition, it has to be  fairly neat and easy
to make and also it has to be possible to take the fenders off the car.
Baby steps, this is a start, but at least I have a plan.

This sheetmetal part  that kind of frames the exhaust primaries as they go down through the fender
will be part of the fender itself. The  wheel can be seen from above here, it's turned left as much as
it goes, and a hump has to be made in the fender to make room for wheel to turn freely.

New horns sounds like fun, Rattiac.
Since you do youtube, you could upload horn sound samples.
I don't have any horns for my Buick, I'd like to have train horns, though I don't know
where I'd actually put them.
The american style train horns sound awesome, I never heard anything like it other
than on youtube.

Mine showed up yesterday.
Had my eye on another set but his shipping was more than the horns. Plus he soaked en in wd40.
Found another unmolsted set with cheaper rates.

Brother got the old 1960s ridged traction bar mounts ground off the frame. Also got the brackets for the tow hitch ground off.

Wrong wheel cyls came in, right ones should be there in a day or two. Brake shoes weren't too bad, but because he was there anyway he ordered a new set all the way around. Gaining😁

Inner fender edge coming along pretty nicely now too.
That 1/4? round bar is a chore to bend, but the result
is worth it.

Probably can?t imagine how not straight the shapes on
them are. The fender lip had to be bent all kinds of
ways to look somewhat right.

Thank you sammons.

The fender was flattned and in a pretty sorry state, and I wanted it to look a bit deeper than it did so
more fender edges to make.
I made a few versions before I liked the look. Then I beadrolled and welded on the 1/4" round bar to
the edge. Tried in its place here, it looks like it might fit.

After cutting the edge old edge off the fender to be able to work with the new part I cut away most
of the surplus material and tacked the new edge to the fender.

It looks like this might work okay. I'll tack in the inner fenderlip too, then it's time to check, again, that the
wheel still has ample room to steer and move.
I also drew some stainless parts in CAD to frame the header pipes where they go down through
the fender. Very time consuming to draw, when you do it just on occation and never really got
used to it.

Rattiac, glad you got the 32 fired back up. Brother said he sealed the inside of the tank after he had it cleaned out.

Ya, funny how some area's are so much more expensive on cars, while some are really low.

Tom, i agree! I knew he couldn't stand everthing not working right and dirty. Didn't think it would be long before he got on it.😁  He wants to rebuild the complete front suspension but said it looked like around $2 grand in parts, so that'll have to wait. At least its not loose, just all dryed out and cracked on the rubber parts.

He's still chasing leaks, said pan gasket was leaking too. Gonna wait on painting the engine till all thats fixed. Lol, long list of stuff🙂
