I am ready to assemble the engine for my roadster. I bought a POR 15 engine paint kit. I have never used it before. Do you have any tips? Should I paint the pieces before assembly,as I usually do,or wait and paint the assembled long block?

Sixball, never tried Por paint before. I've painted both ways, but now I paint long block assembled. I always garf something putting it together, and knock the paint off the bolts.

Sixball I used the por15 engine paint kit on my engine and it turned out looking great, I did it as a long block, cleaned it as directed then assembled the chromed items. The only thing is if you decide to change colors afterwards nothing will stick to it so choose your color wisely.

Gloss black, If it works I may use it on the frame and suspension. Thanks!

I used gloss black on my assembled block. Just follow the directions as best as you can. Mine looks great and it is NOT coming off!
