How will the insurance work, will they total the Lemans because of its age or will they pay the cars true value?

that's an oldie from a couple of years ago. Depends on who he is insured with and how the car is covered.
If car is insured for $50,000 value and damage value is $40,000. Car might get scrapped out. All depends on your insurance company and policy.
