I been in the garage working on my frame, getting ready to take it to the sand blaster this week. Had to rebuild the front part as it had been butchered up by the previous owner luckily I got the parts he had  removed just needed a few dimension finally got those thanks to Ned who I met on the HAMB. He was a great help. I sent him this way I don't know if he came over or not.

I had to help my son and his family move into there new home.  That took up most of my Thanksgiving weekend.  I hope to get back to the wiring on my 33 this weekend and update the thread.

The weather the last few days here in my part of New England has been unusually warm so I've been digging an old tree stump out of the back yard. One more day of decent weather and I should be home free....Good exercise.

I had to fill the space I had hacked out in the shop to begin my '26 roadster build with my son's broken Saturn. During the 3 day episode of diagnosing the problem and getting it home several other issues on other vehicles pushed the roadster back down the priority list. Why do these things show up with the first snow? Well at least I have a clean spot in a heated shop and none of the fixes are too tough. ;D

We started out with freezing rain and then snow on wed and thurs. It was really nasty so we didnt go south for thanksgiveing. The plow wasnt working yet and it took untill sat to get that running. Then the new holland decided to be stuck in high range (electric shift),stilldont have that sorted out. spent sunday and yesterday pushing snow,it takes me 4 hrs + to do it all.I was backingup to the mule barn to take another bite and blew a brake line on the truck, backed into the hitching post, took out the taillight houseing and creased the quarter panel.Yesterday our belgan cross mule went down and wouldnt get up,thought she coliced, called the vet,he came out,she has a fecal impactment. So he puts a tube thru her nose to her stomach and we have to pour 1 gal of a water/laxitive mix into it every 1 1/2 hrs.,and give her a banamine shot every 6 (pain) untill she clears it out.$275 please! So nancy and I have been up about 36 hrs straight and no end in sight.I'm going to take a pic of her feeding tube,I'll put it up later. I have to go to traverse city at 2:30 for a follow up appt with the gastro dr.Dont know if I want to shower and change or not. With all the mule puke and slime Ive been sprayed with last night,I not only look homeless,I smell that way too! I'll bet they would hustel me right thru!
 Work on the car???What car??

I had my experience with horses...now we are down to rabbits!  Need to build a chicken coop for next year.

Anyway...here is my grandson's "peddle kart" that I just put a Craftsman 3hp trimmer/edger engine on with centrifical clutch ..he'll be up this weekend to try it out.  He already has an ATV, motorcycle and snowmobile.

It already had tube tires on it...just put some additional steel into it.

At least she's up. That's better than down. Poor baby doesn't look too happy. I hope you efforts save her.
We had horses until they were liberated by the "wild" horses and the wild horse huggers. It was more trouble to get them back and prove ownership than it was worth. In a normal situation they would have come home eventually but there is so much illegal feeding and watering going on there was no reason to return. Well at least there is some better blood out there. I wish some of my junk would run off.  >:(  ;D

Very sorry to hear that. All my life around livestock I have been in awe if how delicate big strong animals are and how quickly things can go terribly wrong. It's a special kind of loss and my thoughts are with you.

Trbomax,

I am very sorry to hear that, my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.  I know how attached we get to our animals.  There is something very special about those relationships.

A plugged gut on any equine is usually a death sentance. Thier gut is 30 - 40 feet long and gets pretty bad before they start to show it.A couple years ago we had a new 6 yr old thourogh bred that we got down in indiana. We didnt know it at the time but he had 40 + # of sand in his gut. Afew weeks later he was rolling and his gut flipped (from the wieght) so midnight on a saturday we loaded him and took him down to MSU vet hospital,150 miles away.On the way down bounceing around in the trailer, his gut flipped back. They did an MRI and then found the sand. It took us over a year to get him to pass it with a lot of sand clear. He survived just fine, but thats rare.

I'm sorry to hear that there was a bad outcome. As a kid working on a farm I seem to remember having to have the cows ingest some sort of a magnet that was supposed to trap any iron based material that they might swallow so that it didn't migrate through their digestive system.

I'm still here and checking in from time to time. I don't have much going on in the shop lately. I got all of the other builds that I was working on for other people out the door and had a bad experience with the plymouth build, it left a bad taste in my mouth. So I don't think I well take on any more projects in the near future. I did take the mower blades off and put the snow blade on my lawn tractor. It sure makes pushing the snow off my corner lot a lot nicer.

One of the reasons I quit doing work for other people 20 yrs ago.Sometimes no mater what you try to do for or with people you still end up the a$$hole.Waasnt worth it.I hope you can come to terms with it and not just quit building.
