I got a '34 master 5 window coupe, I need a gas tank. I was looking on ebay, and they say for standard, will not fit master. what is the difference?
-
Jan I'm not positive but Ed would know for sure but Tanks list only one tank for the 34 master or standard and the 35 standard. The 35 master would be different. It's the same as a 36. Here's the link. http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=36/category_id=63/home_id=59/mode=prod/prd36.htm
Rock Valley does list them as different though. Not sure why but here's the link. http://www.rockvalleyantiqueautoparts.com/catalog/gas_tanks_chevy.pdf

so I found a steel tank on ebay for 300. 16 gal. and the '34 master and standard take the same tank? and '35 is different.
-
Jan,
I would give the people at tanks a call. The price from them is $300, same as ebay and they could make sure you get the right one. I bought my tank from them and was very satisfied with their service.

The Filling Station shows a different tank for the 34 Standard/Master and 35, here is the link:

I'm sure the Master is a bit wider, if you need any measurements I have a 34 Master 3 window.
