Title: What is it?
Post by: sammons on September 08, 2025, 04:11:06 PM
Lol, i know its rubber😁

Tom is putting new inner tubes on the '58 Vette for my brother. He ask me what the rubber tucked in the wheels was for. I've seen it on quite a few old GM cars, usually fancier ones. I don't know the reasoning for it, always thought it had something to do with brake harmonics?

Anybody know?

Well, maybe. I fed the question to Google 100 different phrasings with no results, then this popps up on Google AI overlook.

Its usually off track somewhat, so wonder if it was just going off my request info or not? I couldn't come across any other source for info.

Any real knowlage would be nice to know.

What A.I. said below.

I hate the new Google AI answers. The truth was hard enough to come by without AIBS to sort out.
