With ANYTHING you buy where brand matters there are counterfeits, lots of them. If it is important to you if you are investing in stuff have it authenticated by someone trustworthy. Glad I got my old Martin before fakes were so prevalent. No better than I can play it wouldn't matter and I only paid $75 for it.

Gibson was always over priced, outta my league. Anything expensive seems to have these fakes, lots of people shoping for bargains.

At these prices, you can see why they are coppied🤯

I still have my 1959 Gretsch I got when I was a kid.  Still sounds nice!

I also have my Dad's acoustic from the 40's.
