Title: Anyone recognize this Chevy transmission adapter?

This adapter was on a 348 engine I bought years ago...have an idea of what trans bolts to it?

So many choises. Almost resembles a Big block mopar 727 or FE Ford C6. Really hard to guess without bolt patern templates.

Don't know the history of that 348 engine..could have been in a truck. Maybe GM put a specific trans behind that engine in the 60"s?

Ed  my Uncle bought an old '63 Chevy Cement mixer truck. He bought it for the 409, 2 4bbl carbs, twin screw. It had a adapter looking cast iron thing on it. I asked my uncle why did it need that, he said to reclock the starter for the large 13" clutch flywheel.

By the look of this one for sale on craigslist it might have something to do with a Ford

I am pretty sure that is an adapter plate they use to use on old big Chevy Trucks or to put and old Clark 5 speed transmission behind an early SBC.
