Good looking rifle. Yep, .22 would probably be my choise too. My girlfriend use to barrow her uncles old .22Lr Henry lever action when we would go prarrie dog shooting in high school. She was dead accurate with that thing. Mine was/is a Marlin 39a .22 lever, always been accurate.

The only thing i don't care for on these newer Henry's is that ring end site you see on most. But... i've never shot one with it, just like the straight end site.
