Been looking for a used car with 4 cyl and manual transmission for an around town vehicle. Manual transmission's are becoming rare..especially in new cars. The Nissan Versa offers one...but impossible to find one with the shipping backlog. The Chevy Spark is being phased out in August.
Have seen reports of the now common CVT (Constant Velocity Transmission) getting better fuel mileage but that "snowmobile" type belt drive is expensive to R/R if needed.
