Local newspaper did not have ONE WORD about Veterans Day.  I sent them an e-mail and sure I'll hear from them tomorrow...not!

I'm sorry I missed this. I am not a veteran, however, I do understand the sacrifice made by all veterans, and I thank you.

Hope all the Vets have a great day and thanks for your service!

My girlfriends 2nd grade class has been making "Barn Quilt" squares for the local Vets (ya, it's a thing. I had to look it up😁) 4' x 4' plywood hand painted (if using masking tape doesn't void that discription🙂) She said she was passing on my tape skills.

Our Veterans Day parade starts at 10:30 this morning.

Here is one of the squares

Thank your girlfriend for teaching about Vets and what the Red, White, & Blue means. We have seen lately how far astray public education has gone. As a retired teacher it makes me sad for the kids and angry with the educators that are buying into it.

Thank you to all Vets! God Bless You!

Happy Veterans Day and thanks to all of you out there who. You are appreciated more than you know or are recognized for.
Beautiful gesture by your girlfriend and her students!

The barn quilts are a big thing around here, just about every barn you can see from the road has one
Happy Veterans Day to them all past present and those to come

Sixball, I already did. She knows all to well, and gets irritated with large school systems that seem to forget what America was all about. Her mom joined the Womens Air Corps in WW2, and served as an air traffic controler. Her oldest son served as a Marine.

She sent me pics from this morning with some of the class before todays activities. Guess their squares were just 2'x2'.

Pic of one of the Vetrerans that recieved one.

Awesome! As important for the kids as the Vets. Age segregation is as damaging as racial segregation. Old people need to pass on life to the young and the young need to learn from people who have had a life outside of the government education machine.
