Title: Sales taxes in new england area

I have a friend in MASS who just bought a new enclosed car trailer from a seller in New Hampshire.

Question, because NH is a sales tax free state , would he have to pay MASS sales tax on his NH purchase while living in and moving the trailer to MASS ?

Yes when he goes to register the trailer Massachusetts will hit him up for the sales tax.  If it was the other way around New Hampshire residents wouldn't pay the sales tax for a vehicle purchased in Mass.
