Title: Recognize these spindles/control arms?
Post by: EDNY on December 10, 2016, 12:39:57 PM
Removed from my son's 37 Chevy with Corvair fronts suspension(?).  The spindles have rotor/hubs attached but no provision for calipers?

The upper control arms look to have GM ball joints.

Any ideas?

Thanks Moose...just compared the specs, these have:

Center line of holes: 3-7/8"
Overall height:  10.5"
Overall width: 4-7/8"

Apparently they are disc brake spindles after all and most likely a GM spindle

Edit: did locate a GM casting but no numbers.

Did find this interesting article...my spindles look like the one in the picture.  Looks like there is a long and short spindle..bet this is the long version.
